How to find us - Directions to CCLG Data Centre

From Leicester train station

The CCLG Data Centre is a five to ten minute walk from the Railway Station.

  1. Leave the station concourse by the main entrance (with ticket booths to your right).
  2. Cross the covered car park and exit by the gate opposite.
  3. Cross the 3 sets of traffic light controlled pedestrian crossings to the pavement of the Royal Insurance building opposite.
  4. Take the pavement, alongside the dual carriageway (Tigers Way).
  5. Cross a side street, and pass a converted church on your right.
  6. The path follows the line of the road climbing gently. At the top, (approx. 200m) the path meets a broad pedestrian way (New Walk) which crosses the road on a bridge to the left, and with the Museum ahead on the right.
  7. Turn right on to New Walk and pass the Museum, now to your left.
  8. Immediately after the Museum, take the path diagonally across Museum Square (grassed, with horse chestnut tree in centre).
  9. The road parallel to New Walk on the other side of the square is Princess Road West. Turn right and proceed for about 50m.

Hearts of Oak House, 9 Princess Road West is on the left hand side directly opposite the University Department of Epidemiology and Public Health. The CCLG is situated on the 3rd floor.

Accessing the building: Access is via a speaker phone system at the main door. For meetings at the Data Centre, a list of names will be left with reception and you should press the buzzer for reception to be admitted. Individuals coming to the Data Centre should first press for reception. If you are admitted you will be directed up to the third floor. If you get no response, you should then press the buzzer for CCLG. Someone will then come down to open the door.
